Let's welcome Maxxie back home with her very first San Jose screening with 3Below's "REEL PRIDE: Queer Cinema" program!

Join creator/director/producer Anthony Hand for a fabulous screening of this campy, uplifting and inventive indie animated musical fantasy, "Maxxie LaWow: Drag Super-shero."
As a special treat, the fun short film "Willa Justice: Drag Queen Private Eye" will kick off the evening, and ending the evening will be a panel with a handful of LGBTQ+ filmmakers in the Bay Area!
3Below is our favorite indie theater for films and stage productions in San Jose. Perfect for getting together with friends, neighbors and coworkers, while also allowing us to celebrate those in the community who helped bring Maxxie to life.

"Shy young barista Simon stumbles upon a magical pink wig that transforms him into Maxxie LaWow, a fabulous drag queen super-shero. Maxxie must confront Dyna Bolical, a villainous queen who’s been kidnapping her drag competition to steal their magical anti-aging tears. With the help of their best friend, Jae, Maxxie embarks on a daring mission to rescue the missing queens. 3Below is located “below” the parking structure on the corner of 2nd Street and San Carlos. There are entrances to the parking structure on 2nd and 3rd streets.
Although the entry has a sign that offers the option to Pre-Pay, we recommend you do NOT do so. Instead, simply press “ticket” to retrieve a ticket and bring it in the venue with you where we will scan it to tell the system you receive free parking for up to 3.5 hours.
