On April 1, 2025, our local ballet community lost a beloved ballet teacher, coach, mentor, and friend. As the Director of San Jose Ballet School for forty-five years, Janet Vertin taught and coached generations of dancers both young and old, the beauty, grace and artistry of ballet. Janet fostered a strong and vibrant sense of community, friendship and love for all that entered her ballet studio.
Please join us as we celebrate and remember her life and legacy. We will honor and pay tribute to Janet by sharing memories and stories, celebrating her love for ballet, and remembering her impact.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, at New Ballet, Mohr Studio, located @ 196 N 3rd St, San Jose, CA 95112.
