The alternate title for this workshop could have been, “Can’t I just be sad, damn it?” Life is paradoxical in nature, we know that two truths can exist simultaneously and that joy and grief are interwoven. In our workshop we’ll explore tools for finding hope, resilience, and spiritual fortitude amidst life’s complexities.

Do we need permission to be authentic when we’re balancing both the beautiful and terrible moments?

What are your strategies for rest?

What is the role of faith in the midst of global fears, personal loss, anxiety?

1. Embrace Life’s Dual Nature: Life is both beautiful and painful, and recognizing this duality can lead to a richer, more resilient existence.

2. Fear and Faith Coexist: Acknowledging fear while nurturing faith allows a grounded spiritual life, encouraging growth through life’s challenges.

3. Self-Compassion: Self-compassion is essential for resilience and personal growth. Just ask God! (Or your nearest Rev/Chaplain!)
