Evening Letterpress Wood Type Poster Workshop

Workshop this Friday evening: Print your own letterpress poster design, 5 to 8 PM, August 22

Join us for a summer evening of letterpress printing at History Park, this Friday, August 22 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. You can design and compose your own poster, choosing vintage wood type, ornaments, and engravings from our collection.

The summer evening natural light allows us to expand our work space outside in the shade behind the print shop. There will be up to four participants sharing two presses outside and one inside. The photos here capture a bit of the fun at our July evening event.

You will be able to print six or more copies of your poster as time allows, and be able to choose two ink colors using handheld brayers. No previous printing knowledge is needed, but experienced participants can jump ahead in their work. $95 per person.
