The primary objective of this event is to enhance our local county office's reputation as a youth hub within the community, especially the youth leadership council. We aim to foster collaboration among stakeholders who support students and families while increasing youth and family engagement with the county's existing services. This initiative presents a valuable opportunity for students to voice their perspectives and learn about potential avenues for collaboration with the county as they prepare for their transition to college or university. Additionally, students will also have information about the internships before graduating, for example, the Fellowship Internship, the Student Internship, etc. We also provide free Legal Consultations with the Asian Law Alliance (ALA) for Immigration, Public Benefits, etc.
We notice that many students don’t know that their majors can also fit into the county and the community. That is one of the reasons that we want youth, or your students, can have an opportunity to listen to us and figure out what services and programs we currently have to support them, also it is a chance for us, the County of Santa Clara, to listen to them, and to understand their needs, their ideas. We want them to know that all voices are listened to at VASC. By joining the Community Stakeholder Meeting 2025, all ideas and feedback will be written down to ensure that we won’t miss anyone, because in Santa Clara County, we are “One County, One Future.”
