In honor of Theatre Bay Area's highly anticipated "Bay Area Theatre Week",
Lamplighters Music Theatre is pleased to present an in-depth introduction to the world of Gilbert & Sullivan with Artistic Director M. Jane Erwin, followed by an Archival Broadcast of “Yeomen of the Guard” (2017).
As the Stage Director of this critically-acclaimed production, Jane will be able to provide special insight into this dark and rarely produced piece from the G&S canon. Yeomen does not have the neatly-wrapped happy ending that most of their pieces do, and this special event will allow for a thoughtful discussion of how it came to be written at all. “The World of G&S” will be enjoyable for new fans of the famous duo, as well as longtime Lamplighter fans—and a great way to mix them both!
Light snacks & beverages will be served.
The World of Gilbert & Sullivan: "Yeomen of the Guard" (2017)
Sunday, September 21st, 3-6 pm
469 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA 94107
