Closing Artist Reception for Sandy's Calligraphy - Everything half off.
Join us to celebrate the Writers Grotto closing show featuring over 100 works by the late, great Sandy Diamond, whose calligraphy, collage art, poetry & memoir will be celebrated.
At 3:30PM Sandy's son Gabriel Diamond will perform a monologue "Some Things You Should Know About My Mom" fresh off a sold out run at the SF Fringe Festival about her life and death.
Candice Holdorf will read one of Sandy's poems as well.
Sandy's calligraphy will be on display and available for sale, ranging from $6 prints and up for original art. There will be something to delight and inspire everyone from the activist, lover, artist, complainer, gardener, and musician.
The Writers Grotto is a co-working space and community of over 150 writers. They have been featuring work of artists to grace the walls for over 20 years. So many of Sandy's work is about the creative process through beautful writing - this show was a perfect fit. After nearly a year on display, Sandy's show is closing.
This is a rare chance to see her art at deeply discounted prices. A portion of the profits will go to World Central Kitchen.
