Join Us for a Swiss Wine & Raclette Tasting ExperienceWe’re excited to invite you to a special Swiss wine tasting featuring Eurovine, who will guide us through a curated selection of exceptional Swiss wines. Paired with classic raclette, this tasting will highlight how beautifully these wines complement traditional Alpine cuisine.
Swiss wines are rarely seen outside of Switzerland, as over 90% of production is consumed domestically. This makes the evening a unique opportunity to explore distinctive varietals and terroirs that many wine lovers have yet to discover.
2023 Les Celliers de Sion Petite Arvine $36.94
While Chasselas is Switzerland’s most planted white grape, Petite Arvine is among the country’s most compelling. This rare variety is also found in neighboring Italy’s Valle d’Aosta, but it thrives in Valais, Switzerland’s most important wine-producing canton, responsible for roughly one-third of national production. Vineyards stretch along the Rhône River, making Valais the river’s northernmost appellation. Sheltered by the Alps, it is also Switzerland’s driest winegrowing region. This bottling is 100% Petite Arvine, aged in vats to preserve its freshness and alpine character.
2024 Domaine les Perrières Gamay $25.94
Domaine les Perrières is a family-run estate located on the protected slopes above the village of Peissy, about ten kilometers from Geneva. Now in its eighth generation, the family blends tradition with modern oenological techniques. Geneva, situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Geneva, is Switzerland’s smallest canton but has the country’s highest vineyard density. Gamay is the principal grape here, producing light, vibrant wines that clearly reflect the region’s terroir. This is 100% Gamay made with partial carbonic maceration.
2022 Maison Gilliard Dôle $35.94
Maison Gilliard has been producing wine in Valais since 1885 and has remained in the same family for over 140 years. Dôle is a traditional Valais specialty and must be a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay (with a minimum of 51% combined), sometimes complemented by native varieties such as Cornalin. This bottling is primarily Pinot Noir blended with Gamay, offering a balanced and classic expression of the style.
2023 Vini Delea Rosso di Luna Ticino $28.94
Ticino, Switzerland’s Italian-speaking canton in the south, borders Lombardy and focuses almost exclusively on Merlot. Introduced from Bordeaux in 1906, Merlot thrives here thanks to Ticino’s warmer climate and higher rainfall, often producing wines reminiscent of Bordeaux in structure and depth. The grapes for Rosso di Luna are destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
In addition to the featured wines, there will be a surprise bonus pour to round out the evening.
