"Constructive Conversations: The Geometric Abstractions of Hannah Franco, Dani Jeffries, and Nick Polansky"

We are visually drawn to patterns; We adorn our world and our selves with patterns. We solve problems by seeking patterns; And it is through the unique employment of patterns
that these three artists are creating beauty and intrigue in their own particular mediums.

Hannah Franco explores infinite variations on patterns she remembers from quilting with her grandmother. Dani Jeffries fires ceramic discs based on the crop irrigation circles she seen from airplanes. Nick Polansky carves intricate patterns into wooden sculptures using computer-guided waterjet machines more typically used to cut metal. Each of these artists has seized on a pattern they found, and are in conversation with the materials they use to cause those patterns to express a sense of ordered calm worthy of closer inspection – and introspection.
