The Healing WELL invites you to our Hope Lives Here: The Tenderloin Speaks event happening at Roxie Theater on September 14, 2025 at 12:30 PM (Pacific Time).
Join us for a moving afternoon of storytelling and solidarity in support of The Healing WELL’s life-changing programs in the Tenderloin.
If you are unable to attend, donations are also welcome.
Experience Fog, a short documentary (2022) offering intimate portraits of San Francisco residents experiencing homelessness. Directed by Michael Pedraza and produced by DreamWorks collaborators, the film was awarded the UNAFF Grand Jury Award for Best Short Documentary. Through candid interviews and powerful visuals, Fog shines a light on the dignity, struggles, and resilience of its subjects.
Kevin Fagan, award-winning former San Francisco Chronicle reporter and author of The Lost and The Found: A True Story of Homelessness, Found Family and Second Chances (published February 11, 2025), draws on decades of immersive reporting to humanize homelessness in San Francisco. Expect a candid dialogue reflecting on the Tenderloin, informed by Fagan's long partnership with the homeless community.
