Please join us next Saturday, August 16th from 6-8 PM for a guided walkthrough of FORECAST 2025, highlighting the works of exhibiting artists Lorena Molina and Jonah Reenders. Both Molina and Reenders will speak to their pieces in the show, and answer questions from the community.
Lorena Molina is a Salvadoran multidisciplinary artist, educator and curator. Her work blurs the boundary between self and environment, making the body an active force in shaping the landscape. She employs maximalist aesthetics—layering vibrant colors, rich textures, and sensory excess to challenge minimalist visual traditions in photography.
Jonah Reenders is a San Francisco based artist interested in the relationship between humanity and the natural world. This project, titled Armillaria, explores queer ecology by investigating the largest living organism in the world, the Armillaria ostoyea, or humongous fungus. Using constructed narratives and explorations into the psychic landscape, the work seeks to understand our symbiotic relationship to ecological networks.
