Playful Approaches to Direct Instruction in Language Arts

About this Event

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Direct instruction in language arts can be playful and engaging for your students while helping them gain concrete reading skills. We will use repurposed materials to create games, language sorts, word relays, and story-telling opportunities for your students. We will incorporate rich language arts content such as subjects & predicates, compound words, conjugations & endings, and increasing fluency & expression in oral reading.

All teachers will receive $25 of materials for free
Our Free Teacher Workshops qualify as Prop G Hours

5 PM - 6 PM | Workshop
6 PM - 7 PM | Wine, chat, and shop with your fellow teachers

PLEASE NOTE:
This event is free, but you will be charged a $5 refundable registration fee. After attending our free teacher workshop, this amount will refunded. We have been dealing with last minute no shows and dropouts from these workshops, so in order for us to have an accurate count for the workshop, we are implementing this system. If you're unable to attend, please cancel your ticket 48 hours before the workshop!
