Lian Yung is a local artist based in the Mission who creates detailed paintings combining mechanical and biological elements in a linework style. Lian works on a large scale, creating pieces ranging from two to eight feet.
She draws inspiration from her cultural background, as well as her background in mathematical and computational biology. Lian has multiple murals across the city, which inspires her to integrate street art styles into her paintings.

SCRAP is a non-profit organization working at the intersection of arts, education and the environment. We breathe new life into old arts & crafts supplies and reduce waste by diverting over 250 tons of materials heading to landfill every year.
