This will be our first BIPOC led StorySlam where the stage will be held for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Theme: A Way Out of No Way. Historically, storytelling has been a powerful medium of intimate human contact and connection. The act of telling a story is and has been an act of resistance. Stories led our ancestors through the Underground Railroad, the Frontera, The Long March, Life in Underground cities. At this special event, storytellers will describe their unique journey in finding A Way Out of No Way.

UNIQUE FORMAT: In addition to the 4 headliners, (bios below) we will also select 6 storytellers from the audience who will put their name in "The Hat."
We will also have a feedback tool, using a QR code on your phone, where the audience will be able to provide direct feedback to the randomly selected storytellers. The top three will be posted. All storytellers who tell stories from the hat will get audience feedback on their story if they want it.
