About the event

Cemented in History - Sidewalk Plaque Unveiling

The first five plaques of our long-anticipated sidewalk plaques commemorating historic sites in the Leather District were placed last month as part of the Folsom Streetscape Project.

Community members are invited to celebrate the unveiling at Cemented in History, a special event on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 6 PM at Powerhouse (1347 Folsom Street) and Driftwood (1225 Folsom Street). Supervisor Matt Dorsey is scheduled to speak.
