Log Hewing Demonstration - Labor Day Monday

Join us as we are open special hours on Labor Day Monday, September 1st!

Staff will be partaking in a log hewing demonstration, turning a round log into a log with 4 flat sides (also known as "squaring off"). They can then be used for all kinds of construction needs!

The demonstration will begin at 10am and run until the log is complete (no later than 4pm). The museum is open to the public until 5pm on Labor Day Monday.
