SAT AM - Whimsy Art workshop with Paige

Join us as we be accessing and using our most valued asset as an artist: our imaginations!We'll embark on a journey to create their own fairytale homes—and the creatures that inhabit them.Learn how to use mixed media materials to add whimsy and charm to their pieces, while we explore how to create depth and layers in their artwork.We will also focus on cultivating a personal style as they make intentional decisions regarding shapes, silhouettes, color palettes, and other elements that give their art a personal flair.Students will walk away with two 8x10 paintings, one depicting a whimsical house and the other depicting the creature or person who inhabits it!

Supply List for Students to Bring:

• two small canvases or canvas panels, 8x10 is ideal
• fluid or ink-like acrylic paints in various colors (white, brown and black are especially needed)

• acrylic brushes (small and medium sizes are ideal)
• a few sheets of colored tissue paper
• Glass Bead gel medium
• a variety of fun and blingy add-ins: gem stones, glitter, etc
• Mod Podge or Matte Medium to glue papers
• palette knife
• palette
• rags or Blue Shop Towels

Optional Supplies to Bring:

• Posca markers
• various drawing materials
• watercolor inks

• Cost $115
• Saturday, September 13th from 11:00am-2:00pm
• Max 10 students
• All skill levels welcome​
• Age level: adult (18 & up)​
• Students are encouraged to bring snacks or a bagged lunch
