For the debut of GROOVE-IT at EQ we invite LA-based Ønyx alongside Adrian Reyes b2b TAJ (The Average Joe) for a Vinyl/Hybrid set and SD-Based Fhargo to start the evening.
About Ønyx
Ønyx is an Iranian American artist originating from Paris, with a passion for all things storytelling through sound and visual medium.
Small Girl, Big Beats. ♡ Her eclectic style weaves in diverse influences of driving techno and broken rhythms. She’s performed for massive staples like HARD, Factory93, 6AM, Dirty Epic and Incognito, while supporting a diverse array of headliners including Sara Landry, Nico Moreno, Julia Govor, Coyu and Ansome.
An impactful contributor to the dance music community, Ønyx played a pivotal role in creating live event aftermovies for the underground, capturing intimate vignettes of the warehouse. She’s also a resident DJ of techno collective SplitChecks.
About Adrian Reyes
From Southern California, Adrian Reyes delivers a sound that is reflective of the ‘90s and ‘00s club scene. Inspired by techno pioneers such as Jay Denham, Jeff Mills, DJ Rolando, Adrian approaches every set with a respect for the genre’s history. Adrian blends classic influences with contemporary forward-thinking selections to create blends with intention.
About TAJ (The Average Joe)
TAJ, otherwise known as TheAverageJoe, is a vinyl DJ who focuses his sounds through Electro's groovy funk and Techno's old school cuts. Merging these two genres, TAJ remains true to the roots of before, while pursuing the ever evolving sounds of tomorrow.
About Fhargo
Based in San Diego, Fhargo crafts sonic journeys driven by rhythmic percussion, deep textures and a wide knowledge of music from all genres. Influenced by diverse underground scenes across Europe, his sound blends fast paced rhythms and irresistible grooves that keep the dancefloor moving.
