Event Description:

In a special event collaboration between San Diego State University's Research & Innovation group and UC San Diego Innovation & Commercialization, we are hosting a conversation for founders to navigate the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This event will feature insights from a legal expert, an investor, and representatives from the SEC who will share resources and federal perspectives to help founders make informed decisions as they grow their startups.

The discussion will cover compliance essentials, investor expectations, and real-world strategies for building credibility with partners and regulators. Whether you are just starting to shape your venture or preparing for later-stage fundraising, this session will provide actionable guidance and an open forum for questions.

Aligned with our regional mission to support founders and spur economic growth, the event empowers founders, students, and stakeholders to accelerate innovation responsibly, strengthen our regional ecosystem, and cultivate a globally minded entrepreneurial community.
