Please join me for this special night of celebration and tango! Milonga Recuerdo will commemorate its 12th Anniversary with the stellar presence of the 2018 Tango de Pista World Champions Carla Rossi and José Luis Salvo, teaching and performing! DJ Norteño will also celebrate his binational 15th anniversary of dancing tango in the borderlands! We will have special treats and drinks, and as always, a great dance floor and the company of good friends!
The pre-milonga class with Carla and José Luis will cover "Steps and Rhythmic Sequences for Reduced Spaces at the Milonga" starting at 7:30 pm. The floor opens for dancing at 8:45 pm.

"José Luis Salvo started his professional career in 2008. José Luis was a finalist at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in Stage category in 2011 and a finalist in both Tango de Pista and Stage Tango at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in 2012. He toured Japan, and Europe (Polland, Spain and France) as a visiting teacher and dancer between 2010 and 2015.
Carla Rossi was a finalist at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in 2012 and she won the 1st Place in the Milonga category and 4th place in Tango de Pista, at the Metropolitan Tango Championship in Buenos Aires both in 2014. She toured through Bulgaria, Germany, Sweden and Turkey as a visiting teacher in 2014 and 2015.
As a professional couple, José Luis and Carla have been dancing together since 2016. They have taught and performed at the most important venues and milongas in Buenos Aires. They toured Europe and Asia as teachers and performers several times between 2017 and 2022.
They were finalist at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup in 2016 and since then they won several official tango champion titles:
2017: Tango de Pista SubChampions (2nd Place) at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup and Milonga Champions and Tango de Pista Champions at the Metropoitan Championship in Buenos Aires.
2018: Tango de Pista World Tango Champions at the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup (and they were also Stage Tango finalists in the same edition).
