Ventanas and paper marigolds with Interwined Rootz

• Participants will learn how to make paper marigold flowers and their significance in Dia de Los Muertos
• Supplies needed: green pipe cleaners, yellow and orange tissue paper, scissors, Ventanas de Cempoaxochitl

• Participants will connect to traditional plants used for día de los muertos, creating ventanas, which are placed on and near altars, and learn their cultural significance.

This event is in preperation for the Vida Y Muerte celebration at the Garcia Center for the Arts.
