Join us for our sixth annual Tinkerfest, a day dedicated to curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning! During this exciting event, guests will “enroll” in fun, interactive trade schools throughout The DoSeum to explore skills like plumbing, electrical work, roofing, and carpentry.
After completing a trade school, participants will have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned by contributing to a kid-sized framed home at the center of the museum:
🪠 "Licensed Plumbers" will install pipes and fixtures.
💡 Electricians will run wires through the studs and connect light switches.
🏠 Roofers will add shingles to the roof.
🔨Carpenters will build out the inner walls.
By the end of the day, a community of more than 1,500 guests will have worked together to build a home—piece by piece.
Will the house actually function? Absolutely not.
Will our guests leave feeling empowered, inspired, and excited by what they’ve learned? Without a doubt.
This event is included with general admission.
