Improv Workshop: EVERYTHING MATTERS with BRIAN SCRIBNER

TITLE: Everything Matters! Pay Attention!

DESCRIPTION: You say you want to be a better improvisor? A better communicator? A better listener? How can you be, when you're busy mentally script writing, speech giving, and/or argument planning? Your focus is everywhere EXCEPT where it needs to be. This workshop will give you the tools to improve your listening skills (with your ears AND your eyes) in improv AND in everyday life. It will help you get out of your head, and into the scene (or the real life conversation). You'll recognize the "gifts" your improv scene partners give, and you'll understand how to have fun with them. Paying attention to the minute details will become easier, almost second nature. You will DEFINITELY come out of this a better person.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Brian Scribner has been improvising since birth (because life doesn't come with a script). He has dined with royalty, and toiled with peasants, yet he has always returned to his first love... improv. As no one knows his true age, it is entirely possible that he was there for the creation of improv itself. It remains one of life's greatest mysteries. You can also see him perform at ComedySportz San Antonio, with MY 4 DADS, as 1/2 of BS & DAVE, or at random HEB's. (Brian has taught, coached, or performed alongside 88.7% of San Antonio's Improv Community).

ADMISSION PRICE: $20

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Attendees must have completed or be in the process of attending a level 1 improv class.
