Lab Night!
Part of National Engineers Week, Angelo State University is hosting a public event featuring hands-on science and engineering activities, demonstrations, and interactive stations.
Angelo State University’s College of Science & Engineering will host Engineers Week Lab Night—a free, all-ages community STEM open house. Come and go throughout the evening as you explore hands-on science and engineering activities, interactive demonstrations, and learning stations presented by COSE departments and student organizations.
The main event flow will take place on the first floor of the Vincent Building, with additional activity spaces located in Hunter Strain.
Featured Activities
Chemistry demos: Luminol/fluorescence, CO₂ rockets, invisible ink, blue bottle/traffic light reactions, chemistry‑in‑a‑bag
Physics: “Physics Phun” hands-on demonstrations
Geology: “Geology Rocks!” mineral, rock, and fossil exhibits
Mathematics: “Math Is All Fun and Games!” interactive math activities
Computer Science: “How Smart Is This AI?” interactive AI demonstration
Agriculture: Livestock Identification and Explore the Ruminant Stomach activity booths
