Grift is the pseudonym of the Swedish artist and multi-instrumentalist Erik Gärdefors.
With a strong bond to his homecounty Västergötland in Sweden, Grift express a blend of
rural folk, atmospheric metal, field-recordings and ambient compositions inspired by nature
mysticism and local folklore.
Grift's ambition is to evoke the mood some people are in great need of; the mood you can’t
express through other mediums than music, words and images. This kind of escapism is
about breaking the chains of everyday given norms, and for a short moment becoming a
stranger lost in a state of uncertain homelessness.
With over ten years of creativity, Grift has become a sought-after live artist, touring widely
as a solo performer and with full band.
Erik’s commitment to his own personal vision has attracted performance opportunities from
promoters and festivals like Roadburn Festival (NL), Fekete Zaj Fesztivál (HU), L'Homme
Sauvage (FR), Fortress Festival (UK), Hradby Samoty (SK), Culthe Fest (DE), Mystic
Festival (PL) amongst others.

Inspired by nature, local legends and myths, the band Gjoađ from Salzburg creates acoustic landscapes from
ambient sounds, dark folk, psychedelic, doom and black metal.
As the opener for Grift, Gjoad will present a semi-akoustic set, joined by Lyrnah who will contribute with her voice and celtic harp.
