Join Loftus Accord Walking group for our last walk of the season, when we will walk to Warren Woods, to enjoy the natural beauty of our area, and in particular the diverse range of fungi thriving locally. Meet at Loftus Town Hall , where Margaret Drazin , Loftus Accord Committee member will guide walkers to the wood, where we will join North East Fungi Recorder Alan Simkins to investigate and identify the fungi we find. The walk will return to Loftus Town Hall via the same route.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear , for both road and forest floor , which is often wet and uneven and appropriate for the weather on the day. Bring drinks and snacks as required -there will be no lunch break as such .
There is a suggested voluntary donation of £3.00 per person towards the running costs of the group would be welcome.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept on leads at all times.
There are several free car parks within Loftus .Arriva buses 5 and X4 stop in the marketplace, near the Town Hall.
Loftus is well-served by several cafes and food outlets for after the walk.
