Salmon Valley Stewardship is hosting a lively fundraiser at The Hub for Salmon's new shared commercial kitchen. While funding for the basics of the mobile kitchen unit and walk-in cooler has been secured through a USDA Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure grant, we need additional support to make the space fully functional and ready to serve local food businesses this winter. Join us at the Competitive Potluck to showcase your finest creations and help support this shared community space!
Competitive Potluck -- Pickling Contest -- Live music by Sarah Burton -- Pint night at the Hub!
The details: Join us at the Hub Thursday 9/18 at 6pm. Attendance is free, with a suggested $10 donation to eat. If you want to enter the Potluck or Pickling Contest, bring your best potluck dish, or your favorite pickled product that you make, sized to serve about 10 people. We're having 2 side-by-side competitions, one for pickled products, and the other for potluck dishes. Be ready to name your dish, and let us know if it contains common allergens when you enter the contest.
It's free to enter your dish into competition for the Potluck and/or the Pickling Contest, but we're asking folks to make a donation of $10 to the Community Kitchen Project to eat.
Everybody can vote on their favorite dish once they sample some pickled goodies and the potluck meal. We'll have prizes for the winners of both contests!
Event starts: 6pm
Potluck & Pickling winners announced after 7pm.
