Middleton Down - Perimiter ragwort pulling

We return to Middleton Down to carry out a perimpter walk of the Reserves southern conpartment pulling any flowering ragwort missed by the Cinnabar moths and so likley to allow seed to drift into the neighbouring fields. We will meet as usual at the All Saint's carpark in Broad Chalke before driving on up to the Couthern Ox Drove reserve entrance.... with luck a possability of encountering Autumn Gentians and if, as is anticipated, there is very little needing pulling in the south then we may get to where Autumn Ladies Tresses have been spotted in previous years. The forecast is for clera skies a light wind and 18° C temp so should be comfortable for a change! Bring water, a packed lunch, a good insect field guide as usually lots of crickets/grasshoppers and wear supportive boots for the steep slopes.
