Three days of wedding designs, led by five time RHS Chelsea Gold Medal Winner, Joseph Massie, featuring only the very best blooms of the season.
Each day of this course will be led by Joseph, with additional support from our school tutors.
In our three days together, we’ll dive into luxurious wedding design, using the very best blooms of the season. Throughout your time with us, you’ll be working alone and in small teams, with a keen emphasis on sustainability. During this course, as much fresh floral material as possible will be sourced from local flower farms. Ribbons (for our bouquets) will be sourced from Northern Hands. Some of the vessels used have been created within our creative community here in Manchester.
Every day of our course, we will be joined by photographer Zuzanna Salakova, who will take images of the designs you have created. Following the course, you will be sent a portfolio of images of your work, for you to use freely to build your brand and business, to take your floral practice to the next level.
This is the perfect course for you should you be just starting out in business, or are soon to be starting out in business, need to build your own wedding portfolio. This course would also be suitable for more experienced florists who are keen to refresh their portfolio.

In each hands-on session, you will be provided with a selection of vessels, sundries and flowers, and will have free rein to create one or two designs per day to be photographed. This is not a course consisting of painting by numbers - Joseph will demonstrate the techniques and methodology - you will have creative control as to what you wish to create.
As with all of our courses, we’ll be working with the season’s best materials, including British grown flowers and foliages, sourced directly from our local growing partners when the season allows. No floral foam will be utilised within this course, and single use plastics (for example, anchor or pot tape) will be kept to an absolute minimum.
The Three Day Wedding Masterclass is an exciting class, but it is not advised that students whom have just started on their floristry journey attend. We would advise that the basic skills should be mastered before investing in this class - students should have some practice of hand-tying bouquets, basic wiring, and use of floral adhesive.
Class size is kept to a maximum of eight students to create a peaceful environment, with plenty of tutor:student interaction. All basic tools will be provided.
