I've been wanting to do pop up stories and art activities at Englewood Park near the splash pad for a while now, but life keeps getting away from me. I am going to give it a go, probably most Wednesdays, weather permiting.
The pop up will include a story and a hands on art or craft activity for elementary age kids and their grown up, as well as any siblings who may want to participate. This is NOT a childcare service. An adult must be present for a child to participate to be responsible for their child (or children's) safety and well being and to assist younger participants with their art project.
I will provide the story and all necessary art and craft supplies at no cost to you. if you would like to contribute a few bucks toward art supplies, I wouldn't turn it down, it's absolutely free to participate.
For this Wednesday we will vote on:
1) Smokey Bear (who will NOT be in attendance. I think he's busy on the Sisters Fire right now 😪) and a nature bits craft.
2) Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin and make tiny tacos for Barbies, yourself, or to share with friends.
3) Those Darn Squirrels by Adam Rubin and make squirrel/bird popsicle stick puppets to fly around the park.
Each participant (open to all ages from toddler to adult), will be provided with all supplies to make our chosen craft.
Participants will be able to take their creations home that day.
