Info: This CE event is designed to discuss seizures in cats and dogs paired with the recent ACVIM consensus statement on seizure management in dogs. The lecture will initially cover pathophysiology, terminology/classification, clinical features, and the diagnostic approach to seizure disorders. The article will then be used to discuss various treatment options available for controlling seizures. The session will conclude with a summary of points covered, takeaways from the literature, as well as clinical observations. The goal of the lecture will be to familiarize the audience with seizures as they present clinically, along with diagnostic and treatment options for both the general practitioner and specialist alike.
