I've been dancing hip-hop for 15 years in Portland and LA, beginning my hip-hop adventures at the age of 37 (DON'T do the math 🤪) and dance in general when I was 5, taking classes from and with some of the best. Now I'm sharing my passion with others in Salem!
Classes start with a fun and groovy warm-up, a little stretching, then some basic movement and across the floor drills (beginning class). Then I will teach a choreographed combination and we dance the ish out of it!
In both classes I teach basic dance grooves and movement skills, but keep in mind they are both full on choreography classes. The beginning class choreography is similar to the intermediate class, but slightly simpler and slower paced.
(Beginning class currently being taught by Tiffany Lawson).
Fair warning this is not a “hip-hopish” workout like Zumba or what you’d find at the local gym…you will be learning full-on hip-hop inspired choreography.
I also offer private lessons if you’d like some one-on-one before you jump into a class.
My choreography is inspired by my background in hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, house, ballroom, latin, swing, etc. and I would consider it to be what in the dance world is called Jazz Funk or Commercial Hip-Hop (vs street hip-hop).
Drop-Ins ALWAYS welcome!
COST: Drop-in classes are $12.
4 CONSECUTIVE classes for $40 ($10/class).
ONLY $5 additional if you’d like to try out the other class on same night!

ATTIRE: Wear comfortable attire and sneakers (preferably not too grippy-smoother bottom is better).
PARKING: Street parking if you can find it or easy free garage parking right around the corner on Commercial St near the Mall. (We can always arrange someone to walk to and fro with you if you’d like).
