Join us in the heart of Salado for a one-of-a-kind celebration of live music and chili!
The Salado Music Crawl & Chili Cookoff combines two Texas favorites: a day full of live music along Salado’s Historic Music Mile and a CASI-sanctioned chili cookoff where the region’s best cooks compete for top honors.
Bring your friends bring your appetite and get ready for a day filled with:
Live performances all afternoon & evening across Salado’s music venues.
Chili tasting from dozens of cooks.

Event Schedule
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Chili Cook setup & registration
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Public chili tasting (ticket required)
12:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Live music crawl up and down the Music Mile
4:00 PM | Chili awards ceremony
5:00 PM | After-party music
Ticket Options
Chili Tasting Wristband – $15
Includes samples from all competing chili cooks (while supplies last).
Chili Cook Registration – $25
Includes CASI-sanctioned competition entry.
Must bring own cooking setup meat spices and gear.

Music Crawl Admission – Free!
Walk Salado’s Historic Music Mile and enjoy live music at participating venues.
Food & drink available for purchase.
Chili Cook Guidelines (per CASI)
Chili must be cooked on site from scratch.
Cooking starts no earlier than 9 AM.
Turn-in time is 2 PM sharp.
Cooks provide 1 quart of chili for judging plus tasting samples for the public.

All cook registration check-in and tastings will be coordinated from this location.
Event activities stretch along Salado Historic Music Mile (Main Street Salado TX).
Parking is available throughout the Village.
