As a continuation of our TherapyTalks series, paths are pleased to announce our next talk, titled: 'Autism in Adulthood: Coping & Thriving in Life and Work'
Autistic adults often develop unique and creative ways of coping with the challenges of daily life, whether it’s managing sensory experiences, navigating social interactions, or balancing energy and wellbeing. In the workplace, these strategies are just as important, helping to foster focus, resilience, and authentic collaboration.
In this interactive two-hour workshop, we will reflect on and explore the diverse coping strategies autistic adults use. Together, we’ll share insights, celebrate strengths, and discover practical approaches for coping and thriving in adulthood and in professional environments.
The talk is aimed at the general public as well as professionals who wish to learn more about this topic.

Meet the speaker: Margaret White
Margaret White is a Gestalt psychotherapist who offers a warm, grounded, and creative space for clients to explore their inner world with presence and compassion. She is especially attuned to those who are curious about their inner experience and drawn to embodied, creative work. Margaret works with a range of themes including trauma, relationships, grief, eating disorders and anxiety, and is also deeply committed to supporting autistic and neurodivergent clients—offering a space where authenticity is honoured and masking is not required.
She holds a BA in Psychology (Hons) and an MA in Youth and Community Studies from the University of Malta, a Diploma in Autism Studies from University College Cork, and an MA in Gestalt Psychotherapy from GPTIM. She is currently completing further training in Human Systems Constellations, which enriches her systemic perspective and deepens her work with transgenerational patterns.
With over 12 years of experience in community settings, Margaret has supported young people and adults in various roles, including youth work and psychological support. She is known for her calm, empathic presence and her ability to gently challenge clients once trust is established—believing that each person carries the answers they seek within.
Alongside her private practice, Margaret leads the Disability Services at a local NGO, facilitates therapeutic groups, and delivers experiential training in Malta and abroad on neurodiversity, inclusive practices, and spiritual practices. Outside of her therapeutic work, she enjoys cooking, spending time in nature, and being with her golden retriever, Benji.
