A Parent’s Guide to Connection & Early Awareness
Inspired by Matthew Appleton's Integrative Baby Therapy, this course offers new parents a nurturing space to deepen their bond with baby and become more attuned to their perinatal journey. Through gentle practices, insightful discussions & shared experiences, parents will learn to understand their baby's non-verbal cues, support their emotional wellbeing, and navigate the profound impact of early life.
Course Philosophy:
- Gentle & Respectful: All interactions with baby are slow, gentle & responsive, prioritising comfort & autonomy
- Parent-Led Pace: Parents are encouraged to trust their intuition and adapt practices to their unique baby & family rhythm
- Observation & Attunement: Emphasis on observing the baby's subtle cues and developing deep attunement
- Trauma-Informed: Acknowledging the potential impact of perinatal experiences on baby & parent, offering gentle ways to support integration without re-traumatisation
- Supportive Community: Fostering a non-judgmental environment for parents to share, learn & feel supported
