Golden Valley’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission (DEIC) is hosting a forum to share ideas and information on how to be a good neighbor while also celebrating neighbors who do their part to support one another.
The Building An Equitable Golden Valley (BAEGV) forum will take place Thursday, Sept 18 from 6 to 8 pm at Brookview Golden Valley.
Opening Activities
• Participate in a Bingo game mixer to meet other residents.
• Collaborate on describing the characteristics of a good neighbor.
• Share the special things your neighborhood does that you can learn from.
Table-Top Discussions
• Share advice and ideas on how to create a more welcoming neighborhood.
• Connect on topics about how to support aging neighbors, families, those with disabilities, and more.
• Learn from one another about what safety means for each person and how it can be fostered.
Recognition Event
The event also will recognize those nominated as “good neighbors” who do their part to support one another.
