American Experience: War of the Worlds

On October 30, 1938, Orson Welles and CBS Radio aired the radio drama The War of the Worlds. Have you ever wondered why? On October 30, 2025, we will air American Experience: The War of the Worlds, the PBS documentary on the most famous invasion that never happened and then ask ourselves: what if there were no cell phones, no Google, no 24-hour news stations, and we trusted radio for news of world events and tragedies? What might we believe?

Join us in our downstairs Felland Auditorium at 6pm and decide for yourself: would you have been a believer?
