The 10th Annual Purse Project 2025
This is a one-day only drop off event.
Here are some helpful tips.
1. Start with a gently use Purse/Handbag you have in our closet, or pick one up at a second hand store
2. Fill the purses with daily necessities (see suggestions below) .. but be creative too !
3. Share this event with family, friends & co-workers and have fun.

• Band-Aids
• Hairbrushes -- Combs -- Hair Elastics
• Creams -- Shampoos -- Conditioners
• Wipes
• Sunscreen
• Deodorants
• Hand Sanitizers
• Period Products
• Kleenex Packs
• Lip Glosses -- Chap Sticks -- Lip Sticks
• Nail Clippers
• Socks -- Toques -- Mittens – Gloves -- Scarves
• Underwear
• Small flashlight
• Travel coffee mugs
• Notebooks -- Pens -- Pencils
• Face Masks
• $5 or 10 Gift Cards (Tim Horton’s, Subway, etc.)
• Children’s Purses (With or Without Items for Children)
• Add a personal note. In the past, these were appreciated by the recipients 🥰
This community service initiative was started in 2016 by Canadian Progress Club Ignite @canadianprogressclubignite. The club closed in 2024. I was part of the organizing committee of all The Purse Projects.
