WHAT IS Fog City Rollers Learn to Skate?
Fog City Rollers is dedicated to training and developing roller skaters at all skill levels and interests. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe and competitive environment for all who participate.
WHAT IS THE COST OF THE LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM?
Total Cost is $107.50; this includes WFTDI Insurance and the entire 12-week program.
The cost is $50 for the 12-week program with the option that once you finish to program you may be eligible to become a member of the Fog City Rollers for the 2026 Season. To reserve your spot, please

DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE INSURANCE?
Yes the cost is $57.50 (includes tax)
We will provide instructions and the link to purchase insurance once you have completed this form and paid for the program to reserve your spot.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
All participants are required to wear the following protective gear and cannot be on the track with any missing items:
Helmet (Roller Derby Helmet or Hockey Helmet)
Roller Derby Wrist guards
Roller Derby Elbow pads
Roller Derby Kneepads
Mouth guard
4-wheel (quad) roller skates (no heals)
Athletic sneakers
Bring a big water bottle and come dressed in athletic clothing.

WHO CAN JOIN?
Fog City Rollers Learn to Skate Program is the place for anyone over the age of 19 interested in learning the sport of roller derby, trying out for the league, interested in being a referee/official or just working on your skating and roller derby skills for overall fitness and fun. All skill levels are welcome!
HOW IS IT STRUCTURED?
Every Tuesday, 7pm to 9pm, September 9th to December.9th.
The Learn to Skate Program consists of 12 weekly 2 hour practice sessions and taught by experienced Fog City Rollers coaches and skaters.
WHERE IS IT LOCATED?
Learn to Skate practices are held at Hillcrest Church Gymnasium, 476 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB.

HOW DO I SIGN UP and PREPARE FOR THE LEARN TO SKATE?
1. Complete the following form.

3. The League will email you the directions to purchase the mandatory skater insurance and also complete the ParQ form.
4. Purchase skate equipment as soon as you can, keep in mind that it may take time for delivery, purchase early so that you have all your gear on the first day of the program!
