Charleston Lesson Series!

Announcing an Open-Level Charleston Class! Charleston is a lively African American dance that falls under the umbrella of Swing Dance and is often seen on the dance floor intermingled with lindy hop at swing socials. This class will teach the basics ad beyond of solo and partnered Charleston, exploring the 1920s genesis of the Charleston and its evolution throughout 1930-40s.

While this is not a beginner class, it is open level- no previous swing dance experience is required, but dance or physical training background of any kind is an asset. To see a demo of some Charleston in action, check out this clip:

What: Solo and partnered Charleston
Open-Level progressive lesson series
Who: all welcome, experience an asset
Couples welcome- but no partner required

When: Sunday evenings, 6:30 pm
