Hen of the Woods (also known as Maitake) is a prized mushroom you’ll find in many fine dining establishments —and luckily for us, it can also be found right here in the forest each fall. With its rich, earthy flavor and versatility in the kitchen, hen of the woods makes the perfect centerpiece for a seasonal gathering. And we have the perfect place to do just that - Big Rock Creek in St. Croix Falls Wisconsin. We’d love for you to join us in celebrating this incredible mushroom!

The Fabulous Chef Jodi with Borealle will be creating the dishes
and Jaime (Chick of the Woods) will be educating and leading the mushroom hunt.

-This is a rain-or-shine event. In the case of severe weather, you’ll receive credit toward a future event.
-A day pass is required for this location
-This will be a plant-based (vegan) experience. Please email us with any food restrictions before registering so we can confirm accommodations.
-Be prepared to walk off-trail on uneven terrain.
-Mushroom finds are never guaranteed.
-If minimum attendance isn’t met, the event may be cancelled and refunds provided.
