OUR CHILI COOK-OFF, CAKEWALK and PIE SUPPER is a Week from this Saturday on August 23 5-9 p.m. at the Elks.
We now have LIVE MUSIC secured for the supper and cakewalk!
NOW WE NEED YOU TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING! Route 66 This and That, at 960F Plaza Drive, has tickets. Or come by the Museum this Saturday noon to 4 p.m. You can also call 636 667-4162 or 0231 for our Will-Call list and pay at the door. We just really need to know about how much food--pretty please, let us know you are coming and then bring a neighbor or child with you.

Dinner is still $10 for Adults, and $5 for kids 5 to 12. Now, you tell me where else you can get a home cooked meal with home made desserts for that at any Restaurant around town? IT's difficult to get breakfast out for that. Tea and Lemonade to drink is included; the Elks will have other soft drinks and libations. AND YOU GET TO PICK YOUR COMPANIONS.
IF You want to come in your finest Ozark duds, feel free. There is a contest for that. We will also have a silent auction of baskets and other goods. And the $1 a vote country contests. And all the chili you can eat- right now we have about 8 kinds lined up, as well as a vegetarian option. One way or another, there will be cornbread or biscuits for sopping the juice. And usual Chili Condiments. (Don't worry about the heat plus chili. The Elks big room is a COOL Place. )
We'll serve until there isn't any more. And you can vote for your favorites--maybe make a meal from a bite or two of all the choices! And then, the REAL FUN BEGINS.
