On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 4 p.m., St. Charles Episcopal Church warmly invites the community to attend its annual Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols, featuring the acclaimed parish choir and talented instrumentalists.
Experience a beautiful respite from the busyness of the holiday season. The Festival of Lessons and Carols weaves together meditative anthems, moving scriptural readings, and beloved carols sung by the congregation—all inspired by the grand English tradition. Join the St. Charles Choir on a journey from darkness into light, both literally and symbolically, as they share the Advent message of hope and grace.
Under the direction of music director Mark Downey, the choir will present masterpieces of Anglican choral music by renowned composers such as Richard Proulx, Martin How, Daniel Gawthrop, and John Rutter. The service will also include Advent carols and hymns for all to join in singing.
A reception in Ludke Hall will follow this event.
