In this week-long immersion, we follow the silent traces that life leaves in the body — and the body leaves in place.

In the raw beauty of Combe Brémond, a hidden valley cradled by the French Alps, we’ll root our practice in place — letting rocks, winds, waters, and silence shape the dance.
𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 and their embodiment. To inhabit and to be inhabited, to move and to be moved.
Letting the Alps’ echoes guide our movements, we invite ourselves to 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧/𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 as the queen of the experience will guide us to 𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡; allowing our essence to be part of the 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 we will co-create in those days.
We will cook and eat together, share sleeping spaces, and inhabit the mountains with grace and care—learning from one another and from the inner master that dwells within.

𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗕𝗬 𝗡𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗖 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘
We are two Italian artists and performers, Concetta and Alessia, coming from different disciplines and united to create a common field of exchange within the wider container of Nomadic Dance Collective of which we are part.
The Nomadic Dance Collective is a living movement, a nomadic practice constantly rewriting itself. Initially created by Adam Koan (USA), Kiori Kawai (Japan) and Concetta Cariello (Italy), has since then evolved as a living creature, encountering various collaborators on the way.
It is a geography of the body in transformation, shaped by time, by earth, by breath.
We are dancers in motion. We travel through inner and outer landscapes, moving with Butoh, ecosomatics, and authentic movement as radical acts of listening and transformation.
Our dwelling is the body. A body that does not seek form, but truth. A body open to being moved by the world.
To dance, for us, is to inhabit emptiness— that subtle space between gesture and waiting, where silence is not absence but a living matter breathing between things.
Each step is a threshold. Each encounter, a metamorphosis.
We follow the dance like an underground river: we don’t know where it leads, but we trust its deep current.
We seek a wild body. A body that trembles, yields, transforms.
In emptiness, we listen. In shadow, we grow. In suspended time, we become.
This is our dance.
A ritual. An echo. A form that dissolves and renews. Again. And again.
𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘?
We offer this experience within a unique natural setting: the French Alps, in the Hautes Alpes region, at the border with Italy, in the heart of the Ubaye Valley. Our base camp will be a tiny village, Combe Brémond, at 1900 meters above sea level, located in the commune of Saint Paul sur Ubaye, France. It is the last inhabited place before entering the high mountain valleys. In Combe Brémond, there are no cars, and the air is fresh and pure. There are springs that flow abundantly from the mountains, creating waterfalls and clear, cold streams. There are trees, green marble stones, the breath of the wind, and marmots.

This laboratory is open to anyone who loves to feel, move, and connect — whether you are a dancer, performer, visual artist, designer, therapist, researcher, scientist, musician, writer, or anyone with a creative background, with or without prior experience in dance. All you need is curiosity, openness, and a strong motivation to engage in this journey. Everyone will be able to find inspiration in this process.
