Salsa Social Lab happens once a month, on the last Saturday of every month.

Each edition focuses on one specific topic related to social salsa dancing, combining learning, experimentation and enjoyment in a relaxed, community-focused space.

From our Tuesday Salsa Nights... to Social Lab

At Salsa Sagres, our weekly Tuesday salsa nights have grown into a real community - people connecting, dancing together, and wanting to feel more confident and relaxed on the social dance floor. Salsa Social Lab is a natural next step, created in response to what we are building together.

A themed workshop + social, designed to support dancers in bridging the gap between class and real social dancing.

* Level & Participation *
Open level
No partner needed - we rotate and dance with different people

* Style & Foundation *
This edition is rooted in SalsaOn2 (Mambo/New York Style), the foundation of our Tuesday Salsa Sagres classes.
The content of this workshop - especially around connection, adaptability and floor awareness - can also support dancers in other salsa styles.

🧠 Themed Workshop (1h30)
A playful and practical deep dive into how social salsa dancing really works.
We'll explore:
Social etiquette & dance-floor awareness
From memorised combo to real-time connection
From fixed patterns to organic flow
Adapting technique for real social situations
Dancing comfortably with different leads and follows
Lead & follow as a conversation, not a script
Simplifying and adapting when the floor is crowded
Accesible for beginner and meaningful for more experienced dancers.
