Pride Film Series - Carol

Pride movies return to Bay Street Theater on September 28, 2025 at 4:00pm with Carol (2015)!

Join us for the Hamptons Pride Film Series at Bay Street Theater—held the last Sunday of the month at 4pm—as we present Carol, the critically acclaimed adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s groundbreaking novel The Price of Salt. (Stay tuned for info on the tie-in book club).

Set in 1950s New York, Carol follows the unexpected love story between Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara), a young department store clerk yearning for a more fulfilling life, and Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett), an elegant woman trapped in a loveless marriage. As their connection deepens, they must navigate societal expectations, personal sacrifice, and the courage it takes to follow one’s heart. With powerful performances by Kyle Chandler and Sarah Paulson, Carol is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant exploration of love, identity, and resilience.
