Join us for the community Wave of Light in Saffron Walden on Wednesday October 2025. Anyone who has been affected by baby loss is welcome, no matter how recent or long ago that loss was.
Arrive from 6.45pm to light a candle and hang a ribbon or ribbons on the bandstand to create a display of remembrance. At 7pm, the same time as the worldwide Wave of Light at the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week, we will stand together in moment of silence in loving memory of the babies lost too soon.
We will have candles available, but you're welcome to bring your own too if you'd prefer.
On the night there will be the chance to make a donation to Petals, the baby loss counselling charity, who I know have helped so many of us in and around the town.
From the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week (Thursday 9 October 2025) there will be a ribbon display on the bandstand. You are welcome to come down to the gardens any time during daylight hours to add yours. I will share more details nearer the time.
