Penguin Island - morning excursion

For BLWA members and their guests. Members of the public are welcome to join the walk (bring binoculars).

Meet at the ferry car park off Acadia Drive, Shoalwater at 8.30am when the ticket office opens. We will take the 9am ferry. Fares are $25 or $23 concession.
We will look for a variety of seabirds , including Bridled and Crested terns that breed at this time and perhaps waders on the beaches. Buff-banded rail are often at the picnic area. There is no shop on the island so please bring morning tea. We usually take the 11.15am ferry back, but those who wish to stay on are welcome to do so.
