We’re thrilled to announce the return of one of Alice Springs’ most beloved community events – with a fresh new name that reflects our inclusive and welcoming spirit . Formerly known as King of the Mountain, this iconic tradition has been reborn as “Y to Sky”
Y to Sky will take place on Sunday, September 14, and promises the same exhilarating challenge and uplifting experience our community has cherished for over 40 years. The journey begins at The Y on Sadadeen Road and ends with breathtaking views at the summit of Mount Gillen. Whether you're a runner, walker, or cheering from the sidelines, this event celebrates fitness, connection, and community pride.
To top it all off, participants will enjoy a free breakfast at the summit – a well-earned reward and a perfect way to connect with others in the Alice Springs community.
