Samhain is the time when we connect with the crucial forces of nature and make ourselves ready for the long descent into winter. It is a time to reflect on that which we've brought into our lives, and that which we need for the future. It’s the time of the dead, of remembrance for our ancestors of kin, of place, and of spirit. A time of peace, and honoring the Kindreds.
Please join us for our annual Samhain ritual in honor of the Ancestors.
We assemble at 1:00 pm at room 12 in back, and ritual begins at 1:30 lasts around an hour, followed by food and fellowship. We do not close a circle, so you are allowed to arrive late; we simply ask that you join us quietly.
We'd love for you to bring a dish to share in one of our famous potlucks, which will be outdoors for covid safety, but no one will be turned away from the table for lack of contribution; you'll find that our spread is always impressive and delicious, and many food sensitivities are regularly taken into account. Also, if you wish, feel free to bring a personal offering for any Ancestor, Nature Spirit, or Deity of your choosing to offer during our Praise Offerings. We welcome you to pray at our good fire!
This is also an opportunity to donate food or material goods items for Dandelion Seeds. Items should be a boon to people on hard times, not something that requires fixing to be useful. As we enter the winter season, tents, tarps, blankets, sleeping bags, etc., are all needed, as well as the usual toiletries and hygiene products. See this page for ways to get donations and what is needed.
